House remodelers

The remodeler is responsible for working on a project team to complete residential remodeling projects, also the installation and maintenance of new construction, renovations, and other projects. This includes preparing kitchens, bathrooms, showers, restrooms, toilets, sinks, and fixtures. The remodeler’s primary responsibility will be to provide quality work in accordance with company standards as well as customer needs. You will receive training and mentorship from the Journey-Level Carpenters on your team.

The ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions

  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills, including the ability to work with other contractors

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, with preference given to candidates with experience in remodeling.

  • Must have basic math skills.

  • Experience with hand tools and power tools.

  • Carpentry Skills with Cabinets, Windows, Doors, Moldings, Exterior trim, and Interior finish work

  • Experience with Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling, and other Residential Remodeling.

  • Customer service and client interaction skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as a member of a team.

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a clean, tidy manner.

  • Able to perform physical exertion including carrying, climbing, crawling, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, hauling, and lifting as much as 100 pounds.

  • Maintain safety requirements and acquire/maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.

Carpenter

Job duties include:

  • Installing siding, windows, deck installations, and framing.

  • Must be able to track time and bring in projects at or under budget. 

  • Must have basic math skills.

  • Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work.

  • Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, crown molding, and other forms of wood trim, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation.

  • Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.

  • Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style.

The ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

  • Must have a driver’s license with a clean abstract, and must be a self-motivated positive team player.

  • Must have carpentry/building skills.

  • Experience in using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws, and nail guns.

  • Joinery or cabinet-making skills.

  • Knowledge of building regulations and codes to be adhered to.

  • Must be able to read blueprints and plans.

Supervisor

To oversee construction crews at our company. The supervisor's responsibilities include recruiting new crew members, monitoring performance, and making recommendations for improvement, as well as educating all staff on safety. The person should ensure that the required materials and equipment are available.

Job duties include:

  • Ensuring teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines.

  • Supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the daily activities of construction trades-people.

  • Expedite timely completion of the work to maintain schedule and budget goals.

  • Monitoring processes, and providing training and team-building sessions if required.

  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.

  • Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections.

  • Preparing schedules, work progress, production, and other reports.

  • Staying up-to-date with safety codes and advancements in construction.

  • Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff.

  • Processing paperwork and traveling to multiple sites if required.

  • You are responsible for reporting late contractors, discipline problems, and problems with schedules, and for keeping the Production Manager informed of job status.

The ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

  • Experience in the construction industry is required.

  • Must have a good working knowledge of related building trades.

  • Experience in a leadership role recommended.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to focus and keep calm under pressure.

  • Ability to keep track of multiple projects.

  • Knowledge of Quickbooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
